Tibet Riot and China’s Threat
April 3, 2008 | | Leave a Comment
3.14 Tibet event has happened for weeks, Chinese government define the chaos as “打砸抢烧” and its English translation is Tibet Riot. Many kinds of response regarding on Tibet issue came out. Angers were triggered by Western Media’s report, so anti-CNN was born under this condition. Dalai Lama sent an appeal and Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman response on it. Too many happened for this Tibet Riot. Protests happened in every province of China. But why Tibet’s so different?
Premier Wen Jiabao during his Laos trip gave response to Hong Kong and Macao Media, which is China’s rise is not a threat to Western or any other countries. China’s rise will do nothing harm to the world. China’s rise is good for the world.
Refer to the latest survey in the United States regarding on America’s four big enemies. The new result is : Iran, Iraq, China and North Korea. To the US, China is never a friend but always an enemy. In this round’s survey, North Korea became NO.4, it is widely believed that because of the success in six party talks. But China with its economic developing is always seen as a threat. Why is it so? Because America doesn’t want China to be a powerful country in the world, that’s reasonable. But China will keep developing.
Who is Dalai Lama? Even though Dalai Lama said he support China’s Olympic games and he hopes Chinese could stay harmoniously with Tibetan. He is just urging Chinese government to have a more transparency systems and law system. He is nobody but a political animal to many Chinese. Dalai wants dialogue with Central government, but who does he represent? Tibetans? People live in Tibet? No. He represent himself and some power back up him.
If look up the history book clearly, China indeed invest massive amount of money in Tibet, assisting Tibet’s development. Help Tibetan to be educated. Sent Hang people there try to build up Tibet.
I have a friend who lives in Lhasa, she told me, honestly speaking most Tibetan people are very rude, bad temper. So I guess a better education system is very much needed there.
Since economic issue is forever the fundamental thing. And probably is the real problem triggered this protest It’s understandable but everything takes a progress. If economic issue is the real underneath problem which Tibetans are protesting for. Nobody needs to worry about it, cause what Tibet wants is not independence but economic growth. And within China’s rise, all these economic issues mixed political conflict will be solved. Not only Tibet issue will be solved but also Taiwan will come back to China someday!
